Handling hypocrisy in an unhealthy social climate

May 17, 2025

Gentlemen, let’s talk about something we’re all seeing more of these days — hypocrisy. It’s everywhere: online, in the workplace, in politics, even among friends. People preaching one thing and living another. Social media is flooded with people pointing fingers when they’re just as guilty — or worse — behind closed doors.

Here’s the truth: facing hypocrisy isn’t about calling people out or trying to change them. It’s about how YOU respond to it. Because the way you deal with hypocrites says more about your character than theirs ever will. And if you’re gonna live like a modern-day alpha, you need to be built to rise above the noise.

Don’t take the bait!

First things first — don’t take the bait. Hypocrites want drama. They thrive on conflict and contradiction. They might call you out for something they’re doing themselves. You know why? Because they’re insecure. They don’t have the guts to own their flaws, so they project them onto you. The alpha move? Stay calm. Stay collected. Never let their chaos disrupt your peace.

Now, let’s be real. We’ve all been hypocrites at some point. I’m not gonna sit here and pretend I’ve never said one thing and done another. We’re human. We screw up. Growth means recognizing it, owning it, and fixing it. That’s the difference between a man and a boy. The man admits it. The boy hides behind excuses.

There’s a time to speak up — and a time to walk

That’s why integrity is everything. You want to cut through the noise and be taken seriously in this world? You have to live what you preach. That means being honest with yourself first. It means looking in the mirror and asking, “Am I living the way I talk?” If the answer is no — you’ve got work to do. And guess what? That’s okay. That’s what personal development is all about.

You also have to choose your circle carefully. Surround yourself with people who value character over charisma. You don’t want to roll with guys who look good on the surface but crumble under pressure. If you’re hanging out with people who are constantly faking it, lying, or throwing others under the bus, you’ll either become like them — or you’ll start hating yourself for staying silent.

Speaking of silence — there’s a time to speak up and a time to walk away. If someone’s hypocrisy directly affects you, you’ve got to confront it — respectfully, directly, and with zero emotion. “Hey man, I noticed you said this, but your actions are saying something else. Can we talk about it?” That’s how an alpha handles conflict: straight up, no BS, no ego.

Respect comes from being REAL

But if it’s not your fight, don’t make it yours. You don’t have to fix everyone. You don’t need to be the hypocrisy police. You’ve got goals to crush, a body to build, a legacy to create. Focus your energy on your own path. People will either be inspired by how you live — or they’ll expose themselves trying to tear you down.

Social media is one of the biggest hypocrisy traps out there. People show their “perfect” lives while hiding their messes. Don’t fall for it. Don’t compare your real life to someone else’s highlight reel. And for the love of style, don’t become one of those guys who preaches hustle while sleeping in ’til noon. Be real. Be consistent. That’s where the respect comes from.

Another key is empathy. Some people are hypocritical because they’re scared, lost, or dealing with stuff you don’t see. That doesn’t excuse bad behavior — but it helps you avoid becoming bitter. Being an alpha isn’t just about strength. It’s about emotional intelligence. It’s about staying grounded, even when others are fake as hell.

You are only in control of yourself

At the end of the day, the only hypocrisy you can truly control is your own. Live in a way that makes you proud when no one’s watching. Let your actions speak louder than your words. And when someone shows you who they really are — believe them. Don’t waste your energy trying to change them. Level up and let them fade out.

So yeah, hypocrisy is everywhere. But it doesn’t have to mess with your vibe. Build your life on truth, not trends. Be the man whose behavior backs up his words. That’s power. That’s influence. And that, gentlemen, is the foundation of becoming the best version of yourself.
